The company Creditinfo which is a  credit risk management company has made a detailed analysis of  creditstrength and stability of Icelandic companies, of the approximately 32,000 companies registered in the Company Register in Iceland there were 245 companies to fulfill the conditions of Creditinfo and are recognized as an outstanding firm or "The strongest in Iceland".  Hegas is proud to announce that we are one of these 245 companies to get this recognition.

Hegas was founded as a company in 1988. The focus was in the beginning mostly on supplying raw materials and cutting tools for the woodworking industry. The business grew from day one and after 4 years it was time to extend the selection of goods and woodworking machinery and related things became an important part of the business.


The core business is still the same, i.e. providing solutions for the woodworking industry. The most important policy of the company is to give a good all-round service to the customers and to maintain a comprehensive know-how of the products offered.
